I am a wife and mother. I love serving the Lord, family, friends, sewing, gardening, cooking, writing poetry and stories. I love playing the piano and flute, and singing old hymns and celtic pieces. I love love love reading, but rarely find too much time to sit and delve into a good book lately. And recently I’m finding my heart leans towards Homebirth, Homeschool, Agrarianism, Moving towards being Off the Grid.
I am married to a good man, who works hard for our family everyday.
I now have three beautiful, intelligent and strong children. We hope and pray that our family grows as we walk closer and closer to the Lord.
Our big goals right now, include saving money for land and a house (DONE! 03/2011), and learning how to provide for our needs by ourselves, as much as possible. We are doing this by growing a large garden, raising chickens, ducks, turkeys and goats. We are clearing some of our land to build a barn, and pasture for a milk cow and expand our small animal housing also. We plan on building and setting up one or two bee hives for pollination and honey. And we are planting a fruit orchard. We will eventually also look into farmer’s markets and roadside stands and such.
